A loofah variety that is so much fun to grow and harvest. Makes a lovely squishy sponge that's not too course on the skin. You sow the seed in the heat of the summer and only harvest in winter once the fruits have dried up on the vine. If you do live in an area prone to pumpkin fly then you will have to protect them, as they will get stung and then rot. One organic way, is to grow them in a shade house where you will have to hand pollinate the female flowers with male pollen.
